  • Alongside two other colleagues, Fazilah conducted an education seminar for mental health professionals on using a systemic relational approach in couple and family therapy.

  • Fazilah conducted a workshop for parents about how they can help their kid’s excel academically by supporting their kid’s mental health.

International family therapy conference

  • In this presentation to fellow mental health professionals, Fazilah shared the links between relational disquiet and anti-oppressive practices.

    Conference description:

    This conference will focus on different kinds and sources of relational disquiet and how systemic family therapy practitioners might enable its potential generativity, a generativity that promotes healing and wellness, and also aims towards the kinds of collaboration that adds liveliness to life.

Using Creative Family Therapy Techniques When Working with Children and Adolescents

  • Public speaking is something that Fazilah really enjoys! As Guest Lecturer at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Social Work, she talked to clinical students about using creative family therapy techniques when working with children and adolescents. More specifically, how playfulness can be used a therapeutic tool when working with kids within the family therapy context.
